Try to clear my mind, because this writing excersize clearly is supposed to be done without overthinking.
Me? Not overthink?
Sometimes that's virtually impossible- and that is why I like this time of week.
It forces me to think solely on the prompt given, and there is no right or wrong.
That is refreshing.
"WIDE" - that's the prompt for this week,
and the only thing that keeps coming to my mind is one of my favorite worship songs with the lyrics "How Wide, How Deep, and How Great is your love for me".
One of those songs that has the ability to put what Christ has done for me into perspective. Now the question is "How Wide will I accept Him"?
When I hear He loves us wide, that means to the ends of the earth and beyond; covering every single area of my life.
He wants me to love Him wide too! With every single area of my life, and to the ends of the earth and beyond!

Great thoughts, Heather. The first song that came to mind for me was "Deep and Wide", but the song you mention seems more appropriate. Another one I like is "How Deep the Father's Love for Us". Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteAnother song that comes to mind must have been from highschool or church choir "The sea is so wide, my boat is so small..."
