No doubt in my mind...

There has been such an unsettling feeling in my spirit these days for so many reasons. It's so hard to describe; because generally I can deal with the moments of fear and move forward in peace. Recently it's been a struggle. From the economy to many other circumstances; I've just been literally sick to my stomach. I realized though; this morning that I've let the circumstances surrounding me put a wall in front of me; blocking the level of faith and trust in my Savior. This has been weighing so heavy on me and that is why!!! Huge eye opener; the second we take our eyes off of God nothing feels right. This morning I watched Charles Stanley (love him) with a cup of coffee and a wonderful Lemon Bar that my Mom made me yesterday; that's beside the point- just setting the stage- hahaha. Well I knew I needed to do something about this unsettling feeling I've been having in my gut. The kids were playing wonderfully upstairs so I decided to spend some much needed time in Gods word and ended up watching a Tivo'd Charles Stanley sermon. Of all the things; it was all about "Walking by Faith"! I read this morning some beautiful passages (which I'll share with you below) and watched a beautiful sermon that I knew God wanted me to hear- and not just little old me- but so many others. I felt really implied to share this via my blog because it touched my spirit in such a profound way . :)

Isaiah 41: 10-13
"So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
All who rage against you
will surely be ashamed and disgraced;
those who oppose you
will be as nothing and perish.
Though you search for your enemies,
you will not find them.
Those who wage war against you
will be as nothing at all.
For I am the Lord, your God
who takes hold of your right hand
and says to you, Do not fear;
I will help you"

Psalms 103: 19
"The Lord has established his throne in heaven,
and his kingdom rules over all"

In these scrpitures I find such a comfort and peace that ultimaltely God is in control; no matter the circumstances. He works all things for the good for those who love Him. When I read the verse in Isaiah 41; I know,trust, feel & firmly believe He is holding my right hand and walking me through this pain- He is always there- never will leave me or forsake me- he is giving me the strength to "Walk by Faith".

I just felt such a pressing today to share this in my blog. I pray that we can all Walk by Faith, allow Him to hold our hand, to get through whatever trials we are facing- He is there- no doubt in my mind!!! :)

Happy Valentines Day!!!

Wow where do I begin? This is my 1st post in February there has been a lot going on! Valentines this year seems almost as busy as Christmas- why is that? Today is definitely a lazy day in the Lapierre household; I am recooperating from the busy school schedules; it's so nice to have the kids out of school for a 4 day weekend.
Every child of mine this year had a at home project to decorate a box for their valentines; on top of making Valentines for all of their class friends. I really didn't need home projects on top of that - PLUS homework!!! I remember when I was in school we decorated those things in the classroom. That would have been great because that left no time for other family valentine crafts I had in mind- my children are crafted out! :) Oh well; we survived; next year I'll start our projects the last week of January.

Isn't he adorable??? Brendens class made these soooo cute

Poor Hailey; always getting dressed up... :)

Shianne worked so hard on her Valentines Box...

Oh.... and last week on Friday Shianne came walking out to the car with these....

Yes those are rats- one is hiding in the photos. The HUGE one is Vanilla; the small one that hides is named Peanut. These are the class pets in Shiannes class. I had NO IDEA these were coming home; yep that's right her teacher took her word for it and never got my permission; Shianne was soooooo excited how could I tell her to take them back to her class. A phone call to her teacher was made by me, expressing the obvious concern of why I wasn't notified! Yes I was not very happy- I don't think that will happen again. Shianne was happy to be able to pet sit; she even cleaned the cage- YUCK!!! Thank you Cierra for coming over to help.

No School yesterday; so we baked Valentine cookies...

Heres wishing everyone a Happy Valentines Day!!!

Integrity...

"Integrity"... that word just melts my heart- can't quite explain it- it's such a beautiful word; and sums up another one of my simple favorite words- "Character".
This morning during my daily devotional time I came across a scripture I've never seen before; and my favorite, melt my heart, strive to be, word is in it... Integrity

The righteous man walks in his integrity;
His children are blessed after him.
- Proverbs 20:7

Birthday Girl

I really don't have the time to blog right now; I just wanted to share quickly pictures of Shianne on her 9th birthday!!! :) We didn't really have a major party this year; but of course we had a cake waiting for her at home when she got back from school. I also personally delivered a little bouquet of flowers to her classroom; the look on her face was priceless! She loved the attention!

A week of Birthdays and lotts of cake!!! :)

I turned 30 2 days ago; and my oldest daughter turns 9 today!!! Time certainly flies. It seems like just yesterday I was in my early 20's enjoying every moment of being a Mother to a beautiful baby girl. Words cannot describe how special that time in my life was to me. Look at us now; almost 10 years later, me; a little wiser- her; blossoming into a young lady- she's learning about the ups and downs in life- learning about the hurt it causes when people are mean- she's loving like she always has- she has such a sweet spirit and she is so full of life! She's like a butterfly; and one day she will break out of that beautiful cocoon and fly with the wings God is molding her to have. Today is such a special day.
The following are not birthday photos; but they were taken last week when Shiannes' friend Cierra was over- they are full of personality...

Oh and did I mention she is quite the arti'st

Quite an expression from Jimmy... lol
