This little girl is coming home today!
My prayer is that she was inspired and strengthened in her relationship with her Heavenly Father this week. That she was reminded of her true value; not by those that surround her but in Christ alone. That she has developed good friendships with people she can inspire; and be inspired as well. I know some may think she is so young; and you don't need to worry about this now; but I truly believe we do not give our youth enough credit- they are really going through a lot of changes, being developed into what they will one day become; and we ourselves need to take a step back and remember what it was like being in middle school (I remember it like it was yesterday)and coming alongside our children in prayer to point them in Gods direction; because one day the Lord is going to give them their wings; not us- only God can do something that powerful! I am a living testament to that- boy am I ever? I am so grateful!
My aunt and I had the greatest discussion about this last week; and she found the most beautiful verse about just that...
1 Bless the LORD, O my soul;
And all that is within me, bless His holy name!
2 Bless the LORD, O my soul,
And forget not all His benefits:
3 Who forgives all your iniquities,
Who heals all your diseases,
4 Who redeems your life from destruction,
Who crowns you with loving kindness and tender mercies,
5 Who satisfies your mouth with good things,
So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
As I cleaned her room I saw the before and after. The before was so messy; yet beyond that- I saw who she was in her room- and that's beautiful!
Weird I know- but as I cleaned it (granted she should be cleaning her own room) I got to see an image of how God restores us.
