Day 11 } Anything that Holds us Back is Fear

 1 Corinthians 13: 4-7
"Love is patient, love is kind.  It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.  It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.  Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.  It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres".
Love Does Not Boast

Anything that holds us back is Fear.
Looking at this verse for the 4th day in a row
(which can do a number on your soul)- And that's a good thing :)
I can say it's shown me this week the world I live in- in a whole new light.
I would suggest reading 1st Corinthians 13: 4-7; everyday- breaking it apart, grabbing a pen and paper, seek Gods voice, and listen closely to what He desires for you to see.
This verse I promise; will become a whole new beautiful than it was in the first place.

How can "Love Does Not Boast" pertain to this 31 day series of Fear Free Mothering?
Well...
ANYTHING that holds us back is Fear- and Boasting most certainly can hold us back.
Boasting is pretty much taking the credit to build ourselves up for successes; instead of Praising God for making a way.
Building ourselves up; will hold us back.
This is how-
Eventually things are gonna come crashing down; not because you took the credit for the success; but because that's life.
When we take the credit; it is so easy to forget Gods' place in the midst of it all; when all along He was at the head of it all.
When we forget Gods place in it all
Fear sets in.
We get so afraid that we cannot fix the situation; because we pile it all up on our shoulders- we end up thinking we were completely responsible for the happy ending; and then when it's not so happy- we become afraid.
Afraid that we wont be able to fix it. It's too easy to get in the trap of feeling like you are the only one that can fix a situation; and forget God all together.  Eventually we will become held back by ourselves.
Held back by our pride-

If we become so focused on ourselves it is really hard to Love Others the way Christ does.  That is when we find ourselves controlling our children;
instead of teaching them.  God is showing me this week; there is a huge difference.
