Day 12 } Love is Not Rude

 1 Corinthians 13: 4-7
"Love is patient, love is kind.  It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.  It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.  Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.  It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres".

Love is Not Rude.
 Defined in the English World Dictionary:
  "rough or harsh in sound, appearance, or behavior"

Us Mothers can hear rude, visualize rude,
and definitely feel the effects of rude.
Especially; us Mothers of Pre-Teens and Teenagers.
Yup

I was once one- and so were you. But were we all rude; or was it just me?

Is it the parenting skills we lack that cause these senses to wrap our brains up in the tightest knot ever; thinking we caused it?

Or is it some kind of part of life thing?

I do know we were all born sinners.

And I do know my Mother loved me; and still loves me to the ends of the earth and to eternity!

She prays for me every single day; like she did back then- while I was so heartless.

God wasn't real to me then;
but she led the way-

and I ultimately made the choice as an adult-to follow in my Mothers footsteps;
because she is beautiful!
Anyone who knows my Mother; would testify to this in a single heartbeat- there would be no thinking that through-
She just IS!
And because of her; I was led to Love; led by Christ,
because He is Love.
All we can do as Mothers is what my Mother has done for my sister and I; and that is to lead our children in the direction of His sweet Love.

You cannot take an eraser to rude,
you cannot magically vanish rude out of your sight,
you cannot literally wipe rude off of someones face-
but I can pray for rudeness to be replaced with a true desire to do His will; and pray hard to be an example to my pre-teen like my Mother is to me.

I can be grateful that because of my testimony;
I know for a fact-
That the most powerful thing you can ever do for your child is to pray for them without ceasing.

Thank you Mom! :)
